David & Patrice | Chancery Rooftop, Auckland | Urban Wedding

David & Patrice | Chancery Rooftop, Auckland | Urban Wedding

When I first met Patrice I knew this wedding was going to be super fun and exciting. I had never photographed an urban rooftop wedding before, and it definitely didn't disappoint!

David and Patrice met when they worked together, and the rest as they say, is history....

The weather really turned itself on and the day was absolutely PER-FECT! It was authentic and true to them as a couple with sophistication and a lot of laughter.  I met the girls at Hotel DeBrett mid afternoon, I arrived to a slightly nervous but excited bride and her beautiful right-hand ladies.

I hope you all enjoy the story of their day.

Brooke & Barry | Ake Ake Vineyard, Kerikeri | Winery Wedding

Brooke & Barry | Ake Ake Vineyard, Kerikeri | Winery Wedding

While I love photographing weddings in Auckland; travelling for weddings is part of my job, I love to photograph weddings in different places so as soon as I get an enquiry I am so excited about new locations. Brooke and Barry were no exception when I found out their wedding was being held in Kerikeri. After finding out they were expecting their third baby, they brought forward their wedding to May. This has to be one of my favourite times of year - not too hot, but normally still warm enough for a wedding, and the colours of the autumn leaves turning makes for stunning images!

Renee & Ash | Karekare Estate Winery Wedding, Northland | Winery Wedding

The morning started early for me and my assistant Kirsty, driving nearly 5 hours to Karekare Peninsula in Northland from Auckland, though a long drive its a very typical New Zealand picturesque one. We were greeted by a wave of humidity, amazing views and a lovely warm welcoming from a very chilled out bride Renee.

When I arrived there was rain, it was cloudy and the weather was looking a bit grim, the girls were busy with hair an make-up which was a good time to start ...
