After having to postpone their Melbourne wedding in 2021 due to covid, Marsha and Anthony decided to have a wedding back in New Zealand to ensure her family and friends could attend. After having said their vows in Australia they decided that their Auckland wedding would be a wedding party! When they originally booked me, they didn’t realise they would have their beautiful little baby in tow. Atticus definitely stole the show and had more cuddles than he could ever want!

Despite not having their vows in New Zealand, the rest of the day was everything a wedding would normally be. Including a chocolate stain down the dress (not that you would have ever noticed!). The day was beautiful, the weather was amazing, the laughs and enjoyment spread throughout the whole day and into the night.

I left the venue feeling like I had met my people, so kind, so caring and full of laughs and so fulfilling.

I still look back and absolutely love the images of Aaron and Emma’s wedding day. What an amazing couple, they kept their wedding intimate, only inviting the absolute closest to them to share in their love and joy and what a day it turned out to be! There was even a beautiful tradition where every guest blessed their wedding rings.

To keep their day their own they opted to have a first look before their ceremony, and then we travelled around Akaroa looking for the best spots. We started off at the wharf where we were so lucky to be the only ones there! Then we went onto the lighthouse, and found a beautiful path right near the cemetery (its amazing where you find the right spots! From there we travelled until we found a walking path up the hill for some views, and onto the local Olive Grove. These two did not shy away from being adventurous for the right spots.

When I first met Leigh and Kate I got SO excited, not only are they the most kind hearted, caring and lovely couple, but they were so much fun!!! I knew I had to photograph their wedding.

When I walked into this amazing wedding I was stunned at the thought behind it all. Kate and Leigh just wanted a simple wedding, with their absolute nearest and dearest, and their beautiful 3 children to watch them tie the knot. This day was absolutely stunning, from the location (Bride’s parents house), through to the AMAZING grazing table set out, and the casual wedding vibe throughout the whole day.

Matt & Vicki are such a kind and caring couple, but also ready for a laugh, it was their infectious personalities really shone through. When I found out they were getting married at Cassels I was so excited, I had wanted to photograph at this location for a while - it certainly didn't disappoint!

The morning of the wedding was incredibly easy going and laid back, if Vicki had been stressed she certainly didn't show it. While the clouds lingered and remained grey the entire day, they threatened rain which never eventuated - thankfully!!
