The morning started early for me and my assistant Kirsty, driving nearly 5 hours to Karekare Peninsula in Northland from Auckland, though a long drive its a very typical New Zealand picturesque one. We were greeted by a wave of humidity, amazing views and a lovely warm welcoming from a very chilled out bride Renee.
When I arrived there was rain, it was cloudy and the weather was looking a bit grim, the girls were busy with hair an make-up which was a good time to start shooting.
Nature had other plans, the cloud lifted and it was an amazingly sunny hot day.
After the girls were ready it was time for dads first look. These images are my favourite, the first time a dad see's his little girl before he gives her away are precious memories.
Having the groom and groomsmen right next door was handy, it meant I could just run next door to shoot the guys hanging out and getting ready.
Renee and Ash met as young adults and attended St Johns Ambulance Cadets together, they became an item but when Renee had to leave Kaitaia to live in the Waikato they lost contact. After finding eachother again it was the beginning on an amazing love story.
Karekare Estate Winery is situated on a hill which overlooks the Karekare Peninsula, an amazing venue for Renee and Ash to celebrate the first day of married life.
After a slightly late start the stunning Renee was set to walk down the aisle, with dad on her side to say "I do" to the love of her life.
After the ceremony it was time for Renee to kick off her heels and have a quick mingle with the guests, before setting off in the golf carts to do some bridal party photos and bridal portraits of the new husband and wife!
We found a lovely spot in the middle of the golf course with an old bridge which helps set the mood for a few casual shots of the bridal party. Of course the golf carts had to be featured, there were a few bumps, a few races and a lot of fun going on in the carts. It was hard not to laugh with this super fun party.
Time to head back among the vineyard for a few quiet images of this couple, the love between these two was so evident throughout the day, they were truly meant to be.
Of course there needs to be some family images with all the kids and an amazing sunset shot.
Renees Gold, Black & White Stripe theme detailing was absolutely exquisite.
Between meals it was time for a few speeches, some moving, some extremely funny, and one involving bloomers!
Thank you Mr & Mrs Jordan for allowing me to capture your amazing, special and funny day.
