I really love it when I meet couples who aren't afraid to just be themselves and are excited to get stuck in with their engagement photoshoots. Of course for most people they are a little nerve wracking at first - especially if you have never had one before, but nerves quickly turn to laughter after I bring out my super lame jokes.
Chris & Sophie | Taupo Wedding
I’ve said it before, I love winter weddings, and it is always a risk when you decide to have one! But for Sophie and Chris, it was a risk worth taking. It was such a stunning day in Taupo for their wedding, hardly a cloud to be seen.
The brightness and ease of the day fit the personality of the couple and their bridal party. I did the engagement shoot for Sophie and Chris in July and it struck me then how relaxed and easy going they both were. Their wedding day was no different.
Chad & Jakalah | Rosemount Gardens, Christchurch | Garden Wedding
Jakalah greeted me with a hug as soon as she opened the door; and the whole bridal party made me feel more like a friend. A couple days before the wedding a large storm system passed through, I think we all thought that we were in for some rough weather on the day but nature had a different plan in mind.
The Power of Her Workshop - Queenstown | Auckland Wedding Photographer
I have been following Danelle Bohane for a few years now, I originally saw her work back in 2012 when a friend got married, and instantly fell in love with her work. For me, continued education is a large part of my business, I like to make sure I am giving my clients the best quality photography I can give. Learning and self-reflection is a large part of keeping fresh in the industry, and there is no shortage of inspiration. So when Danelle announced a new wedding photography workshop (AND in Queenstown) I didn't hesitate to go and book my spot.
Adam & Gabi | The Tannery, Christchurch | Engagement Session
These two lovely people are the perfect mix of love, laughs and energy! Its so hard not to get along with them and their infectious nature as a couple. On my recent trip back home to Christchurch for a wedding we planned to meet up for engagement photos. While not my usual style of photography, we had become set on indoor locations - thankfully because the weather did not play ball.
